A Multi-Informant Approach Testing an Expanded Home Numeracy Mode

The role of home numeracy activities in the development skills is receiving growing interest, although some mixed results highlight need to consider models that include different contextual variables. present study was aimed at investigating, using a multi-method and multi-informant approach, how parents’ educational levels, numerical attitudes, numeracy, expectations toward their offspring’s attitudes concurrently predict children’s early abilities as measured with tasks through teachers’ evaluations. sample includes 430 preschoolers, parents, 56 teachers. competence assessed digit recognition digit-quantity association via proxy-report questionnaire administered parents were then investigating activities, math child’s ability. structural equation revealed both performance evaluation directly predicted by levels.
